Yeaaaah I've got A LOT to catch up on! I'll try to condense it in a reasonable amount of time and will try not to blabber on too much...
Lots of new projects in the workings, we're trying to establish what illusions we'll be doing when we hit Denver this July with our buddy Reza...planning on brining 2 new illusions and some other goodies - that is if one of the new ones gets finished in time and we can reherse it! So we'll see..
Last week I was in Columbia, MO working the Art in the Park festival and it was a great time. Everybody was very cool to hang out with and get to know. Did two shows over 2 days so I had lots of time on my hands to take a look at the art that was on display and for sale. It was very difficult to keep myself from buying EVERYTHING I saw! There were so many talented artists displaying what they create, very inspiring indeed. I also got to hang out with some local magicians who came out for the show so that was fun, that's what's great about magic is getting to meet fellow magicians both pro, amature, and enthusiasts - doesn't matter the level since we all share a common goal: astonishment.
I aslo tried some coffee called Jet Fuel - well it WASN'T jet fuel haha, but they tried. There were all kinds of great little restaurants around columbia and it really was a blast. I was home for 2 days, one of which I caught the show of a good friend of mine Luke Jermay. Luke is a mentalist - which means he reads your mind. I've known Luke for a couple of years now and he just opened his new show on the strip, so if you're ever in Las Vegas and want to get your MIND BLOWN go check out my friend Luke Jermay in his show called MENTAL.
Yesterday I arrived here in Atlantic City and I'm staying with my close friend Kozak. I'm working in a little theater at the Tripicana here in AC this week and he has his own show in the Comedy Stop every night at 6 pm. Its a great show so if you ever have the chance come out and see it: Kozak the magician at the Comedy Stop 6 days a week at the Tropicana in Atlantic City. Koz moved out here almost a year ago so it was good to catch up and see him. Should be a very interesting week that's for sure! So if you're in the area come check out my show or Kozak's or both!
Got a number of new things I'm working on and breaking in while I'm here this week so there's both some classic and bloody Sperry and some new things in the works, hope you come out and see it.
My other friend Jeff Hobson is going to be in AC this summer too with the most amazing magic couple EVER: Mark Kalin and Jinger and they're going to be doing their showCarnival of Wonders here in AC this summer at the Trump so be sure to check out that show too, they are a very talented group.
So tht's is, I'll have more to update on as the week continues with plenty of stories of mischief...
Until next time,
Danny Boi
